Afternoon outing: CN and KCS @ Hattiesburg, MS 11/8/21

Haven't gotten around to posting much on here recently, but that should change... here's some recent shots from 11/8 of CN and some KCS at Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

The first catch was CN A489, Mobile, AL- Memphis, TN manifest at the highway 42 bypass in Hattiesburg heading on north out of town. The train generally is rather short out of Mobile and loses a bit more at Hattiesburg... before picking up cars bound for Memphis at Jackson. After shots of this, I read from a friend saying KCS's Gulfport turn was in town and working at Bell yard. With no hesitation, I made a quick jaunt over to CN's small yard and intercepted it and the CN's L573 working cuts. KCS's gulfport job would soon prepare to depart south for McClain, Wiggins and Gulfport with grey SD40-2, 3219 leading followed by a second grey SD40-2 and two more belle's trailing.
