Amtrak 94 departs Norfolk

The day before Thanksgiving see Amtrak's Northeast Regional (#94) depart Norfolk, VA on a crystal clear day for it's 13 hour run to Boston, MA.  The train is crossing the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River using Bridge 5.  Bridge 5A stands tall, as it has for several decades since it was last used by passenger trains.

I have ridden across the bridge and taken pics from the ground, but you NAILED it very well.

Great pic I'm sure the Passenger Board would like to see it too, just saying b/c not everyone reads all the boards.

That's correct.

All containers go to NIT via South Norfolk/Carolina Jct and the Eastern Branch draw (former Virginian) about 2 miles east of this spot.
