Eastern Railroad Discussion > Amtrak 94 departs NorfolkDate: 11/29/21 13:44 Amtrak 94 departs Norfolk Author: Asheville_G The day before Thanksgiving see Amtrak's Northeast Regional (#94) depart Norfolk, VA on a crystal clear day for it's 13 hour run to Boston, MA. The train is crossing the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River using Bridge 5. Bridge 5A stands tall, as it has for several decades since it was last used by passenger trains.

All containers go to NIT via South Norfolk/Carolina Jct and the Eastern Branch draw (former Virginian) about 2 miles east of this spot. |
