CSX OCS in collision 11/21
Author: Lackawanna484

There's a video on U tube showing a collision between the CSX business train and a pickup truck on 11/21.

A pickup truck attempted to run the gates in Dunn NC ahead of Q400. Unknown to the driver, the fast moving business train was on the second track.

The truck hit the rear of CSX 2, which was set out. The driver was injured, his truck was mashed.

The train continued to Jacksonville.

The man is lucky to be alive.  I once saw a car ground up between two trains going opposite directions.  It was very ugly.  Only small pieces of the auto were visible and all occupants died.

From the radio transmissions and the visuals, it looks like the pickup hit the trailing end of CSX 2.

Got turned around btw 2 and 3, then spun out.

Q400 observed but did not hit the wreckage.

Huge number of MW, operating, and police on the scene.

Those pilots not made for a reverse hit, kinda bent it out for just a pick up truck I thought.
