Huron, Ohio

In Huron, Ohio today between Vermilion and Sandusky up on the old Lake Shore & Michigan Southern, now the NS Chicago Line.

1. Here comes Train 26E with NS 1126, 7576 and 9867 past the Whispering Walleye sign off River Road. This train is crossing the Huron River and after crossing River Road will cross over the top of the old W&LE tracks leading down to the docks.

2. NS 9684 and 4343 blast over the Huron River bridge with a vengeance and into the curve leading to River Road Crossing and the W&LE overpass as they head east on an intermodal train.

You made me go look up what the Whispering Walleye is; a camp ground with cabins. Nice, and they even have one called the Railroad Riverhouse...

My idea of heaven is spending a day railfanning in one of the Great Lakes states and enjoying a walleye dinner with a beer afterwards!
