Eastern Railroad Discussion > Big Horses, Small TrainDate: 01/13/22 10:37 Big Horses, Small Train Author: mtzctrain On December 27th, I was in Peoria, IL with some time to railfan. I was able to capture NS train D49 leaving Peoria on it's trip back to Bloomington-Normal.
On this day, the train had just 2 loads: a CAT tractor, and a Komatsu chassis. Photos taken as the train passed under the TP&W Farmdale Trestle. -Caleb Date: 01/13/22 14:05 Re: Big Horses, Small Train Author: MC6853 Good catch... I'm jealous, I've always wanted to see an NS GP60 on the road, but they're pretty much never assigned to Western New York where I live...

We have a couple of the GP60s around central Illinois lately. I believe there's one I've seen on yard duty in Decatur. Definitely don't see very many of them anymore.
