Super catch of that caboose!

I agree about that caboose, and on other so called "Work Equipment Trains" there have been some real cabooses in different paint schemes, not just old sad looking "shoving platforms."  Thanks for the video.

An HO model of the caboose was once offered by Athearn in their Ready-to-Roll series when the lettering read 175th anniversary.

Why, track maintenance...well couldn't get a close look at the machine but I'm guessing something to do with concrete ties.

Thank you.  The cars looked different from what I am used to seeing for MOW trains.

No, it's a welded rail loader/unloader.  It tied down on a siding near where they are replacing rail.  I'm guessing it is being used to pick up old rail that was laid next to the track.

thats a new style unloader, I'm familiar only with the ones C&O built...ages ago still used.
