Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX P001 over a Swollen Ohio RiverDate: 05/13/22 12:25 CSX P001 over a Swollen Ohio River Author: srman Yesterday I followed CSX OCS from Louisville Ky. all the way to Evansville Indiana. Yeah that was a trip. Anyway here are three images that started my day as the train headed south across a swollen Ohio River into Louisville Kentucky, Over the river, approaching the lift bridge and finally by Clagg Tower. Thanks for looking.

Date: 05/14/22 16:58 Re: CSX P001 over a Swollen Ohio River Author: srman Well since Roadbed asked: The trip for the most part to Evansville was terribly backlit. So I'll share two. Now on the Texas Subdivision one at Maceo Ky. then a few miles west of there. Final shot is after they had turned the train in Evansville the train is now southbound about to again cross the Ohio River at Rahm Indiana.

What was your vantage point for the first three ? Date: 05/14/22 19:10 Re: CSX P001 over a Swollen Ohio River Author: E25 That scheme almost makes an F40PH look good!
Greg Stadter Phoenix, AZ Date: 05/14/22 19:53 Re: CSX P001 over a Swollen Ohio River Author: wabash2800 They do look good. They always did, compared to the six-axle freight loco that Amtrak couldn't use anymore... <G>

A public walkway. They are doing a lot of construction in the area expanding the park so I parked in a science museums parking lot that faces the river making it easy access for photography. Thanks for asking. BTW it does cost $8.00 to park so it's good to know for sure that you have a train coming.
