Eastern Railroad Discussion > Help a Texan, in Natchez Miss.Date: 05/16/22 14:59 Help a Texan, in Natchez Miss. Author: WrongWayMurphy I'll be in Natchez this coming weekend, are there any rail related "must see" things,
Or good places to spot a train? We will be staying at one of the hotels downtown overlooking the River. Shane Murphy Tyler, Tex. Date: 05/16/22 16:28 Re: Help a Texan, in Natchez Miss. Author: 3rdswitch Nearest action is Brookhaven, CN on former IC, or Vicksburg on KCS, former IC. Lots of civil war history in both towns. Natchez does have the Natchez Railway, a former IC branch from Brookhaven, but I personally have never seen them move although on my last visit the power was not there. Also, Natchez marks the beginning of the Natchez Trace Parkway that runs a few hundred miles northeast to near Nashville.

I am not sure how often it runs. |
