Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS meet MondayDate: 06/13/22 10:17 NS meet Monday Author: King_Coal I've been lucky to be able to spend some time in Pittsburgh recently due to a family member relocating there. A fellow TO member has graciously taken the time to show me a few photo spots, one of which is Leetsdale PA just east of NS Conway Yard.
I headed up there on May 28 and despite the variable weather, was rewarded with a nice period of activity in the early afternoon. In this series, NS Local C28 passed a 13V that was holding for train congestion. C28 has an interesting GP59-slug combination. It crossed over from track 3 to track 2 in front of the waiting 13V (Allentown to Conway), which had a CN SD75i to add some variety to the usual black and white. Edited 2 time(s). It was a rather dusty affair featuring a 2x2x2 DP configuration, presumably for its rather hilly trip off its usual east-then-south routing via Hagerstown.

Thanks for looking, Bob Omaha Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/13/22 10:32 by King_Coal. Date: 06/13/22 10:40 Re: NS meet Monday Author: jgilmore Nice bunch, I always tried to hit up Leetsdale when I was in town...
