I captured this shot of Meridian's Union Station while waiting on a very late Amtrak 19. My goal was to get a shot of the train with the station in the background. As the train continued to get further and further behind, that plan was foiled. Not all was lost, though. I got a picture of the depot all lit up, which is rare in itself. As I took this photo, I asked myself the two age old questions: "Why am I doing this and why do I like trains enough to sit trackside for hours just to get a photo?" So it did not turn out the way I wanted it to. Usually, they bring the power all the way down to the end of the platform, but I guess since it was so late, the spotted it where there was more light.
