Tonight was one of those rare nights when my wife and daughter had a function to attend and I had nothing specific to do after work. I headed out for a bit and was able to catch a few trains along the NS Reading Line. This time of year is great due to the late sunset and the way the sun lights up the north side of the tracks.

Video 1 is a westbound ethanol empty and Mertztown, PA at 6:11PM.

Video 2 is the H44 headed west at Lyons, PA at 7:43PM. Unfortunately a cloud moved in as the power rolled by but cleared before the end of the train rolled through.

Looks like the Reading's Mertztown station is not moving anytime soon?

The fundraising for the Longswamp Township historical society has been slower than hoped I guess. It takes a lot of sausage sandwich sales to move a station!

I was more impressed by the second ALPG type train going to abrams. Its just a conrail funny for a train going to philly. He had quite a few auto racks.
