KCS in NKP Land
Author: train1275

Saturday July 30, 2022

Heard that the 22K had two KCS units today, so went out after them here near Oak Point (Beaver Park Marina) west of Lorain, OH on the former Nickel Plate Railroad.
Sure enough here comes KCSdeM 4510 leading KCS 4055 rounding the curve at MP 215 along the shore of Lake Erie.

This is a pretty rare and unusual occurrence, so let's just take it in as he goes past.

Great set - If colorful were money, these would make you rich.

Glad you were able to document this movement. If you don't mind, here is a photo of a brand new KCS locomotive taken during a visit in 2012 to the GE plant in Erie, PA.
