Eastern Railroad Discussion > Harrisburg, PA this morning (7/30)Date: 07/30/22 19:18 Harrisburg, PA this morning (7/30) Author: sscannella Beautiful start to the last weekend of July...clear skies and lower humidity, and an interesting handful of trains between 08:30 and 12:30 around the Rockville Bridge area with interesting power.
First up for me curing west onto Rockville Bridge and heading toward Enola Yard on the other side of the river was M2Z with NS 3643 and BNSF 9374. After M2Z cleared, 10K headed to the fuel pad with 3612, 7500, and 4227 as a "mid-train" DPU 117 cars deep, with just 5 autoracks trailing. Makes you wonder what NS's rationale was for placing a DPU 5 cars from the rear. Date: 07/30/22 19:20 Re: Harrisburg, PA this morning (7/30) Author: sscannella 15 minutes after 10K, ethanol train 64E with 4479 and CSX 5302, came across Rockville Bridge and down to the fuel pad alongside 10K on track 1

A short time after 21J, 21E also came west with another UP unit - 7490, sandwiched between 4493 and 4444. After noon, 13R was ready to leave Enola with a somewhat shorter than normal 75 cars. I believe the antenna / equipment for the Broadcastify feed for the Harrisburg Terminal is located there. There's also a weather cam for one of the local TV stations, if I'm not mistaken. It’s really hard to take a big family vacation like the one i am on for granted because i don’t know what is happening next year with family. I should be on vacation for the next 5-6 days before i return to see trains in the area again
