"Helmstetter's" (Yonder comes the train)
Author: cinder

In eastern railroading, that one word should be enough.  But to satisfy journalist "toledopatch", I will add what, where, when and why.

The pictures below were taken around noon on Sunday, September 18 as venerable #1309 rounded Helmstetter's Curve on the Western Maryland Scenic on its climb from Cumberland, Md to Frostburg.  As usual, there were several railfans and several bikers to absorb.the scene, using eyes, ears, noses and cameras.
