Eastern Railroad Discussion > Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterdayDate: 10/06/22 06:01 Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: 99stang Anyone have any info on this passenger car that was sitting on a flat at Abrams (King of Prussia PA) yesterday afternoon?
Date: 10/06/22 07:08 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: dcorreia Are they getting new passenger cars at East Broad Top? I though I saw an artucke somewhere about new passenger cars arriving. This car must be waiting for a crane and trailer to take it to EBT.
Date: 10/06/22 07:45 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: Gonut1 That is not an EBT car, they are painted dark green and arrive from Washington state directly by truck.
This appears to be a vintage car and does make one wonder where it came from and where it may be going. Gonut Date: 10/06/22 07:56 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: OHRY Paperwork said to the SMS at Bridgeport, NJ. Other than that, no idea.

Date: 10/06/22 08:46 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: Topfuel It's got truss rods, so likely a wood frame car. This would be one reason why it is moving on a flat car. The trucks may have already moved by highway to the destination location.

Date: 10/06/22 09:34 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: Lackawanna484 There was a second CNJ wood obs car in addition to the Cinton Station car. The Tempel was restored at Morristown & Erie in the 1990s.
This picture looks like the Clinton Station car. Posted from Android Date: 10/06/22 09:48 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: BandO946 The Car is former B&O 912. It was previously owned by the Everett Railroad, but has supposedly been sold to SMS.

Not wood cars. Date: 10/06/22 17:42 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: up833 What looks like truss rods could be tie downs to tension the load.
RB Date: 10/07/22 12:57 Re: Spotted at NS Abrams yard (Pa) yesterday Author: DundasMP23 If you go to Google Maps and look on street view in Duncansville, PA (40.42737231874916, -78.42000983246592), the Google car went by in August, 2022 as the Everett Railroad crew was preparing to board up the windows on 912. You can make out the truss rods also.
