Eastern Railroad Discussion > centerbeamsDate: 10/06/22 13:45 centerbeams Author: GAPRoute I was recently asked how many houses could be built from the lumber on one centerbeam car. I know it must be several since decades ago a Sears house came in one much smaller boxcar. Nowdays Is there such a thing as a "ballpark figure" for the lumber on a "typical" centerbeam? How many board feet or whatever is typical?

The bigger TBOX boxcars carry 64 4x8 bundles of plywood for what its worth. Date: 10/07/22 02:06 Re: centerbeams Author: wcamp1472 Any idea about how many plywood sheets in 'a bundle'?
I'd like a 'bundle' of donuts! W. Date: 10/07/22 08:04 Re: centerbeams Author: sixaxlecentury Usually around 50.
