"Train Time" - Windsor, CT
Author: cinder

Southbound Amtrak Regional from Greenfield, MA arrives at the historic Windsor, CT depot at 7:30 am, the day before Thanksgiving. Note the short high platform that barely accomodates the two-car consist.  Also note the "Heritage" engine and sequential crossing gates.

Not bad for a "poacher".
Serously, I found it interesting. And the beautiful depot didn't hurt either.

With double gates auto drivers cannot steer around the downed gates.  GOOD.

The two-car consist is probably normal.  The "sequencing gates" are timed so as not to trap cars in the crossing.

I would have thought that after the Second set of gates came down, the bells would stop and only leave the flashers.
