M692 (#3194) on the Clinchfield Sunday

M692 made an afternoon run up the Clinchfield on Sunday afternoon with #3194 leading the way.  Here are a few from the run.

Photo #1:  M692 cruises across Lake James (Catawba River) at Marion, NC.

Photo #2:  M692 splits the signals at "Big John's" near Ashford, NC after meeting B651 at Sevier.

Photo #3:  M692 climbs the Clinchfield loops near Camp Two.

Photo #4:  M692 snakes through the Quartz corporation's facility at Spruce Pine, NC.

Photo #5:  M692 works through Green Mountain, NC.

In the second photo, the signals are dark.  Is that just the timing of the photo of the lights changing, or that particular set of signals out of service (but the heads are not turned), or has the signal system on the former Clinchfield been taken out of service with the former shut down?

All of the signals are still active and used. The signal is lit green on the other side, but the red doesn’t come on until they hit the circuit.
