Info Needed for Signals at CSX Yard, Monroe, NC
Author: jmbreitigan

Hello, back in 2011 we visited our daughter in Monroe, NC & I sent a few days taking pictures around the yard. Can anyone tell me the lineage of these signals between the Charlotte Sub to the right & Monroe sub to the left ? The old Seaboard Depot was in real nice shape when I was there.
Thanks for your help,
John Breitigan

They are old Seaboard signals.  They may now have been replaced by modern signals which work with Positive Train Control.  The replacement depends upon how busy and the type of traffic in Monroe, NC

Thank you both for the information. I was thinikng is it Southern RR or SAL. But not sure if Southern RR used this trackage.

No Southern track in Monroe, and Southern would have run over the SAL at Monroe only in case of a detour.
