Its remarkable how our hobby translates on a worldwide basis. Also a frightening example of what state surveillance and gas lighting writ large looks like.

Putin is orchestrating the destruction of his own country, not only from the combat deaths and financial calamity he is causing but also and arguably more importantly via the loss of the vast intellectual wealth of young people fleeing in fear of his repressive regime. Cautionary tale we should all look to here in the US relative to any admiration for populist demagogues who flout the rule of law.
