The unit behind it was done in black and red in a quasi-Rock Island paint scheme but carried Miss Liberty logo and SRNJ lettering. Will be interesting to see how they emerge from the shop in the future. jb Date: 09/18/23 21:11 Re: Reading and Northern Port Clinton, PA Author: RayH I was in Port Clinton a few weeks ago and did some roster shots, without any hassles. As I was driving out, I had to laugh at the sign near the exit. "Thanks for visiting"!!!
Over my 50+ years of railfanning (and occasional trespassing) I can't remember if I ever saw a sign like that at any railroad facility. I wonder if the R&N tried to buy these engines as they would fit in nicely with there passenger operations.

By the way I love that you used the term “shifter” as it’s what my dad always called the power on the locals into Kutztown when I was growing up!

The Philly Chapter opted to sell it rather than lease it. 902 is and will remain owned by the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society and is being leased to SMS.
