Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX 7578

I'm looking for some information on this unit. It was a C40-8 and I can't find info if it was sold, rebuilt , or still operating. There's a 7578 but it looks different (cab) from the original. Was it rebuilt ? Any help is appreciated.

7500-7510, 7560-7594 are now,  or will be soon,  rebuilt into model CM44AH, or CW44AH.  Most coming from the former 500 & 5100 series.  All of the fomer 7500s have been retired.

Now that makes sense for the new cab while it was running down the GE test track on a video. Thanks.
