M409 and possibly M301 seem stuck on one side of the bridge waiting for movement again

I030 had to recrew at arcenal across the river because of this drawbridge issue in philly

Plenty of things can go wrong, lots of moving parts, suddenly chiller Temps, a little rain, and suddenly machinery gets temperamental.

That movable bridge at RG has been having problems for the last 50 years!   At one time they had a tugboat pushing and pulling the bridge open and closed, bc something broke and it was going to take a while to get parts to fix it.

You can be sure of this:  CSX does not want to spend any money on any bridge.

Those costs are unavoidable--- they're going to accumulate in wasted crew time, per-diem charges,
re-crew costs, loco problems, countless other hidden costs.

So, they'll pay for a whole new bridge --- in hidden and associated costs; but, still be
faced with an iron cripple..

They'd be well-advised to figure out how to quickly get it fixed..
And, then, also figure out a replacement & the possible funding methods and sources...

And that differs from homeowners not wanting to have to spend money to replace a roof or a broken appliance how?

Most people or businesses don't want to spend money, that is just the way it is.
