There's a video embedded in the article. In the viedo, even the employees refer to it as a "locomotive." It's not. Unless they figured out a way to use water as fuel. /Ted Date: 01/28/25 10:35 Re: CSX Introduces New Training Locomotive to Enhance Training Author: ALCO630 Hopefully one day NS will do something similar.

I wonder where that loco husk has gone to...

I wonder if we will ever see it going from place to place??

We have such cars that go around the system...I don't know if they are routed on requrest or the company puts out the word that the set will be in a certain area and all agencies nearby can come for training. It's a good idea actually. Date: 01/28/25 18:02 Re: CSX Introduces New Training Locomotive to Enhance Training Author: Mike6640-2 WM_1109 Wrote:

> And yet you put it as one in your title....... Thank you for your astute observation. Had you bothered to read the article, you would have seen that "my title" (at least as much as would fit in the subject line) is essentially the headline of the CSX article. That was intentional--so as to introduce zero editorial content. Then the complete headline was reproduced--word for word--in the link to the article. /Ted Date: 01/30/25 10:26 Re: CSX Introduces New Training Locomotive to Enhance Training Author: NSDTK Theres some real PSR level decision making. Spend money to convert a SD70Mac into a SD70AC then turn around and make it a non operating training unit. Vs converting a non rebuilt engine to the training unit. That upgrade kit from Progress isnt cheap
