NS 13V at Altoona, PA this morning.

A Westbound NS 13V departed Altoona Yard this morning with a few items of interest on the train.

Some former N&W and Southern covered hoppers were on the train...

A flatcar load of rail axles and wheels and an NS scale test car were seen in the train ...

And the final two pics of the train....An ES40DC was a mid-train DPU on the train followed by an SD70ACU rear helper set.

Thanks for posting.  Is this Altoona, Pennsylvania, and, if so, what are all those BNSF units doing there?  Gerry

Yes...Altoona, PA.

The former BNSF units went to KCS and then to a leasing company and then were sold to NS and are planned to be rebuilt into NS AC44C6M's.

A couple of shots that I took at the Juniata Shops turntable in January 2024 when NS was in the midst of patch renumbering the former BNSF/KCS Dash-9W's.
