Eastern Railroad Discussion > Garbage through ParadiseDate: 05/01/25 17:07 Garbage through Paradise Author: rbenko Well, that's one of the slogans for Palm Beach county ("Welcome to Paradise") - sometimes it feels like that, sometimes not. FWIW, the weather all April has been nothing less than spectacular - hardly any rain, reasonable temps, and pretty low humidity - gonna make the summer season feel all the worse. But I digress...
Here's train 191, a unit garbage train, heading south through downtown West Palm Beach at sunset (basically 15 minutes ago as I type), led by two venerable cab units. In the near future I gotta head a bit north and photograph this train in stronger daylight. Hope you enjoy. Rob Benkovitz West Palm Beach, Florida You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. jb Date: 05/01/25 21:11 Re: Garbage through Paradise Author: jgilmore Ahhh, the soft evening breeze, comfortable temps, beautiful sunset and the wafting scent of rank, rotten garbage--paradise indeed! Nice video and vantage point, along with the juxtaposition of beauty and trash...

Morning and evening rush hour it can get pretty backed up. Still not nearly as bad as my former home (New York City) but traffic has definitely increased in the 6+ years I've lived in West Palm Beach. |
