A few in VA from early May.
Author: Guitartrain

1. CSX's L-134 Turn, (Fredericksburg, VA to Richmond, VA Acca Yard) is rolling through Ashland, VA on track 3 of the RF&P Sub. GP38-3-2019 is on the point running LHF. 1:28PM on 5-2-25.

2. CSX S/B train M-370 (Chicago, IL -Clearing Yard to Rock Mount, NC) is on track three of the RF&P Sub at MP 13. Here, approaching the Gwathmey Church Road grade crossing, passing the Gwathmey Baptist Church. ES44AH-3231 & CM44AC-7314 are on the point. 3:37PM on 5-2-25, south of Ashland, VA.

3. I'm thinking of The Carpenters "Rainy Days & Mondays" as Buckingham Branch Railroad GP38-2-18 rolls through a torrential cloud-burst on its way from Doswell, VA to Charlottesville, VA. It's leading W/B train BB-18 as it approaches the Hartley Road grade crossing east of Beaverdam, VA at 9:51AM on (you guessed it) Monday, 5-5-25.

Nice photos. I like the rain shot. Many rail photographers wouldn’t bother but weather happens, Kodachrome skies are a near myth!

Railroading doesn't stop for rain!

Far better to catch life the way it happens rather than wait for perfect light.....
