W&LE 35th Anniversary Employees' Excursions (Part One)

On May 10, 2025, the Wheeling and Lake Erie ran three excursions for its employees and their families. On the east end of the train was NKP 765, and on the west end was a W&LE diesel with the W&LE 35th year emblem on it. Paul Woodring and I photographed the three trains.
1) The 9:00 A.M. eastbound headed by NKP 765 is about a mile east of Harmon, Ohio.

Wow, that's a super photo of a great locomotive.  That is also terrific that this company gave their employees the opportunity to ride on their railroad, especially with a steam engine.

Great shot and I agree with John, nice of the railroad to treat their employees and families to these excursions.

Very nice, on a couple Class 1s we talk about they'd fire every employee on the train for taking the day off.

Very nice, Bob. A classic wedge often does the job nicely. Still scratching my head on how I missed these movements, but glad you did not. Thanks for sharing your images with us.
