Despite a torrential downpour shortly before the popular event was to begin, the remaining part of the day was sunny. and the crowds responded

1.  The official announcement
2.  Amtrak Regional to Roanoke, VA.  Don't know if the heritage power was intentional.
3.  2007 Aerial

Will it ever happen again?
10 years ago this past weekend, 611 was in town and the place was jammed.
A weekend experience not soon forgotten...
2016 was similar, but had wetter weather.
