Eastern Railroad Discussion > Long, Long Train in Kingston, NY This AMDate: 06/30/25 07:37 Long, Long Train in Kingston, NY This AM Author: pbrasky Had cataract surgery last week, so bike riding, gym and other similar activities are verboten for now. I thus drove out to the old IBM plant in Kingston/Lake Katrine (right next to CSXT's River Sub) for a walk. I hadn't gone 100 steps when this S''bound train appeared at ~MP 91 (a few 100 yds. north of CP 90). As the title says, it was long (mixed freight with many, many trash containers on flat cars). Btw,the pic was taken with an IPhone. Hope you enjoy it!

Good luck with your cataract work. My surgery changed my life. My sight became so much better. Posted from Android Date: 06/30/25 09:14 Re: Long, Long Train in Kingston, NY This AM Author: refarkas First-rate photo.
Bob Date: 06/30/25 09:27 Re: Long, Long Train in Kingston, NY This AM Author: pbrasky Thanks for the compliments! With the cataract removed, things are so much brighter (left eye was done).* I hope to get my right eye done in the very near future. Btw, the operation was 100% painless as was recovery. If you have vision problems due to cataracts, have them removed as you'll love the result!
*My problem was glare, which effectively blinded my left eye. Absent that, I could and can see quite well. |
