Eastern Railroad Discussion > Ohio Rail Experience Ferry MoveDate: 06/30/25 22:02 Ohio Rail Experience Ferry Move Author: K8DTI The Ohio Rail Experience train made a ferry move on June 30, 2025 from Springfield, Ohio to the Norwood suburb of Cincinnati with Nickel Plate Road GP30's 902 and 901. A former IC Paducah rebuilt GP11 in Conrail paint brought up the markers. The past weekend trips west of Cincinnati were postponed due to extreme heat, so please stay tuned for updated trip announcements by visiting their website at Ohio Rail Experience
Here we see the train westbound (I&O southbound) at Hill Station, Ohio on the former B&O Cincinnati to Cumberland mainline, now the Indiana & Ohio Railway's Midland Subdivision. ![]() Date: 06/30/25 22:20 Re: Ohio Rail Experience Ferry Move Author: refarkas What a beautiful scene!
