I went to Lackawaxen PA today on the NYS&W Southern Tier Line to check out a ballast train that was being loaded and I was lucky to catch a special transformer load that was being moved East from Binghamton. The heavy load was left in Lackawaxen along with the engine and gondolas. I'm not sure if the load is being transfered to a truck here or if the Stourbridge Line was going to pick up the load for a trip to Honesdale.  ~Jim

The NYS&W ballast cars are being loaded on the same track by the same SRS crew that loads the green SRS gondolas.

Any idea what quarry the stone is coming from?

Is that really a Lowville and Beaver River flatcar?  Or do those reporting marks belong to,someone else now?

Lowville and beaver river  is owned by GVT, so they are most likely using the reporting marks.
LBR apparently hasnt seen any use since about 2007.  GVT was trying to get it together for a tourist operation, but 1/2025 federal register shows file for abandonment.
