Fire damage in cab of 6063. L814 from the Manchester side giving 6525 to L831 (night job). 6440 trail unscathed. This is probably the end of active service for 6063 (GM50)

CSX ought to rebuild it...and the money to do it coming from whoever owned whatever vehicle crashed into it.

There's no need. According to the current opp plan there's enough power however it's possible it may get some cosmetic attention being its supposed to be donated to the B&O museum.

What caused the fire damage inside the cab? Did fuel from the truck they hit get into the cab and start burning?

You can see the left numberboard is melted. I'd say there was a very intense fire on the left side that was billowing into the cab.

The good news is she has been rebuilt after an accident. In the early 1990's, 6063, still wearing Chessie System Paint, hit a rock slide on the Thomas Subdivision. While it doesn't appear 6063 derailed in that instance, at least 1 locomotive and possibly 2 locomotives derailed. 6063 did suffer substantial damage along the left side of the locomotive and multiple cars on the train (appears to be a coal train), derailed due to track damage from a boulder alongside the tracks.

Correct, fuel/hydrologic fluid from the wrecker and the dump truck it was pulling. The fire was then sucked into the clean air, got into the electrical gear and filters. Once it's in the filters you're looking at a runaway engine etc.
