Western Maryland Scenic debuted the freshly repainted 561 in the classic WM Circus Scheme.  
We are all well aware that something like this never existed for "real".  I'll say it's 2025 and to
see this, and participate in assisting with the night session for it was pretty neat.  First two
are at the station in Cumberland, and the third is at the interchange with CSX.

I really like these shots!  It' a classic example of a "what could have been" if the WM had stayed independent, sort of like painting a big GE AC unit in Erie Lackawanna colors.

Yes, this is exactly what the Western Maryland Railroad would have looked like if it was still in operation today as their management would have purchased newer locomotives to keep their freight trains humming along.  All three photos are great for sure.

This; plus what NS and CN did for their heritage fleet is how railroads respect their heritage. No half and half and no fantasy paint schemes looking like some model train companies idea of a new paint scheme.

This is how you truly respsect your heritage.
