Indian River Coal Train on DCR this Week
Author: rmusselman

Hello all,

FYI, another train (full of bathtub gons) was sent to IR Power Plant to haul out more coal.

Southbound Empty though Wyoming, DE at 11:40am this past Monday 9/29

Northbound Loaded through Wyoming at 8:15pm this evening 10/2

Didn’t document the NS power numbers but assume they didn’t sneak another in…..using front end loaders takes 2-3 days to load?

May have been a full train, maybe more to haul?

Cheers,

Randy

Heritage Units has the Nickel Plate unit on a 579 in Delaware tonight. That would be an empty coal train, but since it is going north may be a loaded one. Also, the NP unit went down last night on a 44M which is a loaded grain train, so the power may have grabbed the coal train from Indian River. Just my hunch.

578 is on the way north this morning with the loads and the Nickel Plate Leading.
