ACWR ran two trains back to back northbound out of Pinehurst today (Wenesday 10/29).  First up was a passenger repositioning move for an upcoming event, heading north toward Candor with a 6 car train out of the Pinehurst passenger car tracks.  Not far behind was a money making train that pays for the passenger stuff;  an overpowered train with a SD40-3/SD60F/SD60F trio leading 17 loads and 4 empties (the daily bounty from CSXT) up to Candor and Star.

Neat video! Looks like some soybean meal hoppers in the mix.

First two are cement (?) that Transloads at West Candor.   Next 4 are soybean meal for one of the chicken feed places, the 5 short gons and ballast car looking car are landscape rock for a major landscape distributor, the 2 bay covered hopper is foundry sand for Grede Foundry or Charlotte Pipe, the scrap is for Charlotte Pipe, the next 3 are likely for the Midland Logistics Park, and the 4 empty open tops on rear are for loading at the Staylite kiln.  Pretty typical commodity mix for their freights. Lengths vary from just a handful of cars to 70+ cars.   Lately freights run down to Aberdeen late night Sunday thru Thursday, then back to Candor midday Monday-Friday after CSX L620 delivers.  Will also run down anytime Friday evening through Sunday morning and back Sunday afternoon if CSX is running the Sunday only U620.  Unit grain runs anytime.
