Foliage Friday: Richmondville in the Rain
Author: march_hare

An NS southbound crests Richmondville Hill near East Worcester, NY in October 2020. The weather?  A friend of mine is fond of saying that "It's so bad, it's actually good". In the age of digital, you can make this shot work. Go back 30 years and try to do it on Kodachrome?  No thanks.

But you could always do it with Tri-X, as I did in that neck of the woods many, many times.

As the late J.J. Young,Jr. advised for dark lighting: "Just open her up two stops and blast away!"

Nice shot. Love the mist and the fall foliage. That's one of my favorite lines to photograph. Definitely planning to get back out there in the new year.
