In an incident that made news in the mid-Atlantic over the weekend, a large Propane explosion in Bear, Del. damaged a warehouse, church, and 5 homes.
The 500 lb. propane tank was mounted on a RR maintenance vehicle apparently owned by the Delaware Central RR. A MOW crew was working at Wrangle Hill Road when the machine caught fire and exploded.
Christiana FD led the response, and reported no injuries, the incident took over 3 hours to mitigate.

No injuries to workers or firefighters. A nearby 30,000 gallons propane tank was not involved, per one report.

Very glad to hear that no one was hurt.

An MOW vehicle with a 500 pound propane tank? What sort of vehicle was that?  I'm surprised it didn't do more damage than what's shown in the photos.  BIG boom..l
