Thanks in advance Robert in Island City Oregon Date: 12/04/25 06:41 Re: Visiting The Mississippi Export Railroad Day #2 Author: trainman7774 Robert,
The Mississippi Export Railroad is 42 miles long. I believe the northern end of the line is good for 40 mph, maybe more. The line has welded rail in some areas. The southern end seemed to be jointed rail. There was tie and rail replacement going on when I was there. These are just my observations from my visit.
