A&R 2486 is alive! CF7 number 2486 has been sitting outside the shop building in Aberdeen NC, not turning a wheel for a couple years now, ever since ex NS 5830 arrived on the scene. Rumors dating back to 5830's arrival have been the old girl is not long for this world. Recently, the 5830 was put on display in front of the office for a few days for Aberdeen's Christmas Parade. Now that its back at the shop (hiden behind 2486), the power has been shuffled with 2486 being moved and 405 put in behind it where 2486 had previously lived. Low and behold, today, the 2486 is running! Smoking for mosquitos but running none the less.
