Eastern Railroad Discussion > Altoona excursions

I have heard bits and peices about an excursion beeing run out of Altoona during the railroad days in Oct. can some one tell me more about this including times? also are there any other big activities set up...I know about rail night at Cassandra...Is NS going to open the shops by chance to the public??
Anything planned at the curve?

The E8's are making a run to Pittsburgh Saturday night I believe, and returning in the morning like they did last year. I've also heard that there will be a baloon at the curve, and the shops will not be opem.

Hope this helps, I know there is someone out there with better info than I have.
