Yes, I have great memories and other photos from those olden days when the Western Maryland Railway would operate excursions from Baltimore to Hagerstown, to Cumberland, then around the Helmstetters Curve and on up to Meyersdale for the famous Maple Sugar Festivals held in Meyersdale in late March and early April.. Then there were some trips that went up to Connellsville, Pennsylvania. Trust me, they were really great scenic trips back then, especially that ride over the Salisbury Viaduct, all great times for sure.
