Trackside on the NS Reading Line Good Friday Edition

With news of the NS 4851 (Tennessee Alabama and Georgia heritage unit) leading a 6E4 and several heads up from fellow TO-ers Pattenburg and Globalethanol, I headed to my perch on the north side of the Reading line between Lyons and Bowers, PA.

I could hear 6E4 blowing for Fleetwood just 3 miles west of me when all of a sudden a westbound started blowing for Bowers.

Thankfully the westbound was a fast and relatively short 23G as seen here at 18:04.

Just seconds after 23G cleared the 6E4 rolled slowly east across the East Penn Valley at 18:07. Had it been any faster my view would've been blocked for sure.

I heard the a&a guy's watching the TAG on the scanner feed. I also heard the 18.8 detector go off on 1 track and thought oh god. Dan's gonna get screwed by 23g.
i got 6e4 a few seconds befor a cloud shot in front of the sun

Nice shot Tom! Yeah the A&A were talking a lot about getting into position for their photo op with the TAG.

Thankfully the 23G didn't hose me!
