NS problems with fowarding traffic trains
Author: Darthsimpletext

so what happened to those dedicated trains that ran like TV-20, TV-21 on conrail, 24Z, 230 and 231 on NS? Weren’t those trains supposed to last on norfolk southern? the one thing they did was shuttle traffic between harrisburg and philly or morrisville pa

what happened to them?

Symbols have been extended, trains consolidated. Even 260 isn't strictly a Harrisburg-Bethlehem turn now. It's Chicago-Bethlehem.

Times have changed, the intermodal business continues to change (things like TOFC to COFC), the Carriers continue to pick and choose the "business" they will haul, etc. The days of the cross country "shooter trains" are essentially over.

Much of this has already been discussed on here many times.
