Eastern Railroad Discussion > Right Place at the Right Time, Baltimore Terminal Edition.Date: 04/08/26 13:52 Right Place at the Right Time, Baltimore Terminal Edition. Author: Fire28 Rarely am I in the right place at the right time these days. However this morning on I895 headed for the harbor tunnel I looked over to see a loaded coal train headed into Curtis Bay yard. Knowing they'd likely have to stop and throw a switch I figured I might have time to jump off and double back trackside.
With luck, here is C785-07 from Grafton, WV snaking through the outter yard tracks headed for the coal terminal, having passed under the I895 bridge in the backrgound. Author: ClubCar That's a good photo and taken from a more difficult area to cover as the CSX Police are always around and they go after anyone who trespasses onto the property in the Fairfield and Curtis Bay areas of Baltimore.
