Chattanooga train watching locations question

I am going to be up in Chattanooga in a couple of months and was looking at having a free day on the schedule to watch trains... I am from South Texas and dont know anything about the rail scene up there, so figured i would ask best advise for where are good locations to watch train traffic (good frequency, relatively safe, etc.)

South of town is Wauhatchie were CSX and NS run south on a joint line.  Great place to watch trains.
