Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX First double stacked I032 to N Bergen?Date: 05/04/26 04:47 CSX First double stacked I032 to N Bergen? Author: JPB On 5/4/26 at around 0525 according to the Ashland station clock, CSX priority IM train I032 passed norhtbound on its way to North Bergen NJ with 10 wells of double stacked Prime, JBHU, and Schneider containers along with a single Tropicana box, lots of singles, some empty wells, and a few trailers. Would this have been the first Jax to NJ double stacked consist?
Hopefully Jax-bound I031 will pass the Folkston cam soon so we can see whether it has double stacked containers. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/04/26 04:52 by JPB. Author: JPB As of 0830 5/4/26 or so, the CSX IM schedule web site shows IM train I117 with a 2 day transit time from Baltimore to Chicago and priority IM train I018 with 2 day transit time from Chicago to Baltimore. Since trains I157 / I158 trains with routing via upstate NY are no longer shown, I'm assuming that double stacked service is offered on I117 and I018.
I believe Baltimore-bound I018 passed the Cumberland MD live cam just after midnight 5/4/26 pulled by a single unit with double stacks and UPS trailers. Edited 3 time(s). Author: jaybest I-031 passed the Ashland, VA station at 2:10 pm this afternoon with 2 engines (3186, 5204), 16 single-stacked containers, 8 double-stacked containers, and 2 trailers including one UPS. The double-stacked I-95 corridor service has commenced.

Had the first I117 through western Ohio yesterday afternoon. I157 and I158 have been abolished? Posted from iPhone Date: 05/05/26 06:42 Re: CSX First double stacked I032 to N Bergen? Author: Lackawanna484 Once the service settles into a routine, it will be interesting to see how competitive it is against trucks. Potentially, it could be a game changer. The I-95 corridor is an expensive trip for trucks, with tolls at every turn, it seems.
I wonder if CSX is planning to launch an Albany NY area extension if this is successful? Capturing Canadian trucks at Albany could be a huge opportunity. I-95 in MD, VA, NC etc always has lots of Bourassa etc trucks. Date: 05/06/26 12:38 Re: CSX First double stacked I032 to N Bergen? Author: DJ-12 farmer Wrote:
