Eastern Railroad Discussion > Another 250th unit - CLNA 1776Date: 06/30/26 17:05 Another 250th unit - CLNA 1776 Author: scraphauler Carolina Coastal rolled out our the newest 250th Patriotic themed locomotive, in the form of GP38-2 #1776, joint the likes of sister Regional Rail roads MNNA 76 and ESPN 1776. CLNA 1776 started life in 1969 as SOU a high hood GP38 2736 which was later rebuilt to a GP38-2 by NS, resulting in the nose job, becoming NS 5616. Came to CLNA as our 3802 and has been renumbered as 1776 for this special paint.

Gonut Date: 06/30/26 18:27 Re: Another 250th unit - CLNA 1776 Author: ShortlinesUSA Nice. Minor addition-- It was CLNA 2177 before 3802, that's a relatively recent number from that model-based scheme they're renumbering things into now.

Never say never in the paint department for Morehead City. Plus cheer up, traffic is going to do nothing but grow out there. Silvi Material's two 100k ton domes under construction promise to increase car count significantly plus we have a couple other major volume accounts kicking tires or in due dilegence. Plus check back in September for a "big" surprise.😜 |
