Eastern Railroad Discussion > The Original celebratory Trio reunited.

This weekend, as I'm sure most everyone on here knows, the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC held the 'America 250' celebration, featuring north of three dozen locomotives and rolling stock pieces in celebration of the USA's 250th Anniversary. 

These three were reunited, as they were featured in the 1976 photo taken in Chicago, IL, which only featured about a dozen locomotives. The ATSF  #5704 isn't one of the original units, however, it's the sister to the #5701, and wears the exact scheme that was seen in the 1976 photo. 
When folks arrived on Friday morning, they had the MILW #156, ATSF #5704, and N&W #1776 lined up beautifully for photos. The #1776 was featured on the morning photo freight with the 5 TBOX's on site, and Naugatuck #1776 on the opposite end. This is just a few of the photos I got of the trio sitting at the museum on Friday.

By Friday evening, the trio was once again back together and setup for the night shoot. These three were taken at sunset and after dark. 

I'll have more photos from the weekend as I get them edited throughout the week.

Somewhere is storage is a faded photo of me standing in front of those locomotives in Chicago in 1976. I was all of 6 years old at the time.....
